Assessing the true value of machinery is critical for both buyers and sellers. That’s why PlastiWin provides quality appraisal services to help our customers gather the information they need to maximize value.
We offer a variety of appraisal services according to your specific needs. Whether you’re involved in a transaction directly or a third-party in search of an expert opinion, we will work with you to deliver a thorough and accurate assessment of a machine’s value.
Our Appraisal Services
Fair Market Value Appraisal
We provide a professional estimate of the equipment’s most probable price in a private transaction as of the report’s effective date. This appraisal is expressed in currency and takes all relevant facts into account. Depending upon your needs, the appraisal can include the costs of removing and transporting the property.
Forced Liquidation or Auction Value
When equipment needs to be sold at a public auction under forced sale conditions, we can provide a professional estimate of the most probable price it will bring. Our conclusions take into account physical location, difficulty of removal, physical condition, adaptability, specialization, marketability, overall appearance, and psychological appeal. The ability to attract sufficient buyers to ensure competitive offers is also considered. Any deletions or additions to the appraised assets could change the psychological and or monetary appeal necessary to gain the price indicated. Liquidation assets are sold on an “as-is” basis, with the purchaser assuming responsibility for removal and transportation.
Orderly Liquidation Value
If a seller is obligated to sell equipment over an extended period of time, usually six to twelve months, we can provide a professional opinion of the estimated price it will bring in a privately negotiated sale. Our appraisal report assumes the sale is properly advertised, professionally managed, and draws sufficient prospective buyers to ensure competitive offers. Any deletions or additions to the appraised assets could change the psychological and or monetary appeal necessary to gain the price indicated. Liquidation assets are sold on an “as-is” basis, with the purchaser assuming responsibility for removal and transportation.
New Replacement Cost Value
When a manufacturer must replace machinery with a new model of like-quality and specifications, we can provide a professional estimate of the new item. If that item is unavailable, we use our best judgment to estimate the cost of alternatives as of the appraisal date.
Often used to determine the need for a full appraisal or establish the scope of an appraisal, a desktop appraisal uses listings and information supplied to us to estimate the value of assets. As this evaluation is conducted without the benefit of an on-site inspection, it is not recommended for use in credit decisions.
Who We Help
Appraisers and Appraisal Companies
We offer assistance to appraisers in need of an expert opinion to assist with due diligence. From individual pieces of equipment to entire plants, we can assist with both onsite inspections or work from information and photos provided to us.
If you’re appraising a plant with plastics processes that you are unfamiliar with, call us in advance. We’ll give you a one-on-one mini-seminar about the process and explain what information is necessary to gather for valuation purposes. We can tailor our fees and services according to your needs and budget.
