The term “shuttle” refers to the transportation of plastic sheets in and out of a shuttle thermoforming machine. Shuttle thermoforming machines are very similar to single-station machines. The main difference is that a shuttle will have the plastic sheet clamp extend into an enclosed oven and then removed or shuttled out of the oven and onto the mold.
